Some of the updates to the guidance include:
- Clarification that room service in hotels and accommodation is permitted.
- Ciropractors and osteopaths have been added to a list of permitted ‘medical.
- Plant and tool hire business have also been added as permitted businesses.
- Convenience stores is added as an additional term, to provide clarity.
- The definition of financial institutes has been expanded to include - currency exchange offices, savings clubs, businesses for the transmission of money, and businesses which cash cheques.
- Livestock markets have also been added.
- Funerals may be held, but it is advised that they be conducted in line with guidance from Public Health England.
- Caravan parks also have the same exemptions as hotels and other forms of accommodation.
- The former exemption for Cinemas, theatres and concert halls has been deleted.
- The exemption permitting parks to remaining open now attracts specific guidance.
